RCR 80V Complete Start-Up Guide

This guide walks you through everything you need to get your RCR 80V ready to ride, from unboxing to unlocking Off-Road power modes. Follow the sections in order for the smoothest first experience.


1) Assembly Guide

This step covers getting the bike out of the box and fully assembled.

What this section covers

  • Unboxing the bike safely

  • Installing handlebars, mirrors, pedals, and front wheel (if applicable)

  • Checking fasteners and alignment

  • Verifying cables and wiring are routed correctly

  • Final pre-power inspection

Key tips

  • Do not fully tighten the handlebars until they are centered and aligned.

  • Make sure no cables are pinched or stretched when turning the bars fully left and right.

  • Confirm all bolts are snug before moving on.

Once assembly is complete, you’re ready to power the bike on.


2) Start-Up and Controls

Key tips

  • The RCR 80v ships with the battery UNPLUGGED for safety, plug in the battery before attempting to power on. 

  • If you are receiving an error code, please refence our Error code guide here

  • Confirm the display boots normally before using the throttle.

  • If something doesn’t respond as expected, power the bike off and back on before troubleshooting further.


3) Screen Mirroring

Key tips

  • Make sure your phone and apps are up to date.

  • Only connect one external Bluetooth or audio device while paired to the display.

  • If pairing acts up, turn your phone off for 10+ seconds and try again.


4) Off-Road Mode Unlock Wire

This section explains how to unlock the Off-Road power modes on the RCR 80V.

  • Disconnecting the factory-linked wire safely

Step-by-step overview

  1. Remove the battery from the bike

  2. Locate the wiring near the front of the battery tray 

  3. Identify the black and red wires that are linked together.

  4. Clip the wire at the section where the two colors are joined.

  5. Tape both cut ends securely to prevent exposure.

  6. Power the bike back on and confirm additional modes are now available.

Important note

This step is optional and intended for off-road use only.

After completing all four sections:

  • Your bike is fully assembled

  • Controls and display operation are understood

  • Screen mirroring is configured

  • Off-Road modes are unlocked (if chosen)
