RCR 80V Alarm Kit Installation Guide

RCR 80V Alarm Kit Installation Guide

This guide explains how to replace the factory alarm module on your RCR 80V.

Tools Required

  • 2.5 mm Allen wrench (included with the bike)
  • 10 mm socket with extension (recommended)

The 10 mm socket is optional but makes it easier to slide the seat back for better access.

Step 1: Loosen the Seat & Remove the Side Panel

  1. Loosen the four 10 mm seat nuts a few turns (do not remove them).
  2. Slide the seat rearward slightly.
  3. Remove the five 2.5 mm Allen bolts and remove the side panel.

Step 2: Disconnect the Battery

Disconnect the battery connector before working on the electrical system.

Step 3: Remove the Original Alarm

  1. Locate the black alarm module mounted below the silver box inside the frame.
  2. Disconnect the two electrical connectors.
  3. Carefully separate the alarm from the mounting tape.

Tip: Pry across the mounting tape, not upward, to avoid damaging the plastic housing.

Step 4: Install the New Alarm

  1. Connect the new alarm using the two factory connectors.
  2. Mount it with double-sided tape (recommended) or leave it unsecured inside the frame.
  3. Tuck the wiring neatly back into the frame.

Step 5: Reassemble the Bike

  1. Reinstall the side panel.
  2. Start all five panel bolts before tightening.
  3. Slide the seat forward and tighten the four 10 mm seat nuts.
  4. Reconnect the battery.

Important: Push the battery connector in completely. A partially seated connector can cause an error message when powering on.

Final Checks

  • Test the alarm functions.
  • Verify all panels are secure.
  • Confirm no wires are pinched.
