Shorty Fender Kit

Tools Required

  • 4mm hex key (Allen wrench)
  • 5mm hex key (Allen wrench)
  • 6mm hex key (Allen wrench)
  • 8mm socket or 8mm wrench

Important Installation Notes

Front Fender Bolts

  • Loctite is pre-applied to the front fender bolts.
  • The bolts may feel resistant while threading in — this is normal.
  • Continue tightening normally.

Do Not Fully Tighten Hardware Immediately

  • Leave all bolts slightly loose during initial installation.
  • Fully tighten hardware only after:
    • All brackets are aligned
    • Fender position is centered
    • Tire clearance is confirmed

Rear Fender Clamp Position

  • Ensure the rear fender clamp is:
    • Fully seated
    • Flush against the mounting surface
    • Not bowed outward

This clamp acts as reinforcement in case the weld experiences stress from aggressive riding.

Front Lower Bracket

  • The bottom front bracket should remain slightly movable during initial fitment.
  • Once alignment is finalized, fully tighten the bracket hardware.

Final Checks Before Riding

After installation:

  • Verify the fender is straight
  • Confirm there is no tire rubbing
  • Ensure all brackets:
    • Have no gaps
    • Do not rattle
    • Do not move when shaken
