RCR Key Fob Cloning Guide
This guide, written by fellow ONYX rider Dmitriy Sidorov, explains how to clone your original RCR key fob onto a compatible cloning remote. Thank you Dmitriy!!
Follow the steps carefully and keep both remotes close together during programming.
Before You Begin
You will need:
Step 1: Clear the Memory of the New Cloner
Before cloning, the new remote must be reset.
Reset Procedure
Press and hold the top two buttons directly below the LED light simultaneously:
- Button A (🔓) & Button B (🔒)

Continue holding Button A (🔓).

Release Button B (🔒) while continuing to hold Button A (🔓)

Press Button B (🔒) three times while still holding Button A (🔓)
-
Release Button A (🔓).
Successful Reset Indicator
-
The LED should begin rapidly flashing
-
This indicates the cloner memory was successfully cleared
Step 2: Clone the ONYX Key Fob
Position the Remotes

Hold the original ONYX fob and the cloning remote nose-to-nose.
Keeping the remotes very close together improves signal transfer.
Clone Procedure

On the cloning remote, press and hold the button you want to program.

While holding it, press and hold the corresponding button on the original ONYX fob.

Continue holding both buttons.
Successful Clone Indicator
The LED on the cloning remote should:
This indicates the code was learned successfully.

Release both buttons.
Step 3: Test the Cloned Remote

Walk to the bike.
-
Test the programmed button on the cloned remote.
Confirm:

Lock/unlock functions work properly
-
The bike responds normally
Important Notes

Keep both remotes close together during cloning

Weak batteries can interfere with programming
-
If cloning fails, repeat the memory reset process and try again
